Biohellenika Cell Therapy Centre is the only Cord Blood Bank in the Philippines and Asia that offers three (3) stem cell storage services , namely:

1. Storage of Hematopoietic Stem cells from umbilical cord blood.
2. Storage of Mesenchymal Stem Cells from the whole length of the umbilical cord, dental pulp and adipose derived stromal Mesenchymal stem cells.
3. Storage of VSELs ( Very Small Embryonic- Like Stem Cells) - that are found in the cord blood These cells can be extensively multiplied without losing their differentiation potentials.

Our patented processing and cryostorage protocol in cryovials secures high viability of the stem cells after thawing, which means more cells can be used for therapies because of the efficiency of our processing protocols as well as from the additional stem cell collection either in utero or ex utero method and collection of mesenchymal stem cells from the whole length of the umbilical cord.

We follow Dr. Hal Broxmeyer’s cord blood cryopreservation protocol and he proved that after 24 years of storage, thawing of cord stem cells, they are viable and maintained the ideal qualitative and quantitative states before cryopreservation. There is no existing cryopreservation upon study with the same years of cryostorage.

We store cells that are ready for use and not tissues that need further processing that can take time and con not guarantee the desired quality and quantity of the cells.

Our Laboratory reports consist of the following:

1. The total count and exact number of the cells by type that will be stored.
2. All cryovials have a unique barcode and their position inside the cryotanks are monitored by our IT system.

We store cells that are ready for use and not tissues that need further processing that can take time and con not guarantee the desired quality and quantity of the cells.

Storage facilities in two different locations in the Philippines, one in Cabuyao, Laguna and Cebu. The stored stem cells are readily available and can be released within 24 hours to support any treatment.

Our storage facility and premises are well protected and secured from earthquake; have the following: a 24 hour- security/ alarm systems, temperature control systems and a gas run generator in case of a power outage/failure..
